GrazeStat™
Technology
Where Smart Analytics Meets Equine Health Intelligence.
How GrazeStat™ Works
Turning Daily Habits into Early Health Insights
GrazeStat combines camera vision and smart analytics to give horses a digital voice.
By learning what’s “normal” for each horse in its resource zone, GrazeStat detects subtle changes in hay consumption, water visits, or behavior that may signal discomfort or stress—well before visible symptoms appear.
Sensor & Data
Technology
Smart Sensing from the Resource Zone
GrazeStat gathers continuous data from where your horse eats and drinks, without invasive wearables or restraint devices.
Data collected includes:
- Feeding Duration — time spent at hay source or EZ Grazer Ultra feeder
- Water Visits & Intake Patterns — number and timing of water interactions
- Facial Recognition & Behavior — facial expressions, posture, and motion patterns analyzed
- Environmental Context — temperature, light, and other external factors influencing behavior
Why it matters:
These data streams create a personalized health baseline for each horse, allowing GrazeStat to recognize deviations in real time.
Behavioral Analytics
Equine Intelligence That Learns Each Horse
GrazeStat’s smart analytics don’t rely on one-size-fits-all averages.
Instead, it builds a
baseline behavioral profile for each horse and continuously compares new data to detect small changes that could indicate:
- Reduced feed or water access time
- Unusual movement or rest patterns
- Changes in head position or chewing cadence – Future enhancement
- Signs of pain, stress, or potential early colic – Future enhancement
Future Development:
Ongoing R&D will expand detection to include gait assessment, respiration patterns, and vocal cues for even earlier health alerts.
Research & Development Pipeline
Advancing Equine Telehealth
GrazeStat’s technology will continue to evolve through partnerships with universities, veterinarians, and animal behavior experts.
Ongoing R&D Focus:
- System refinement using labeled video data
- Automated lameness detection algorithms
- Validation studies for predictive colic alerts
